  • Bollywood Flashmob

    Thu 04 Apr 2019

As you may be aware all the children have been learning a Bollywood flashmob dance in connection with People Dancing. The flashmobs will take place in Dawlish and Teignmouth and if any of the children would like to turn up and join in here are the details so far:

The first Bollywood flashmob is going to take place at 11am on Saturday 13th April in Teignmouth Triangle. All the children and their parents or carers are welcome to get involved. A lady called Jill will be wearing a florescent yellow vest and will be standing near the music amp. She will have ribbons which she will give to the children if they ask her for one.

The event is, of course, weather dependent and anyone thinking of taking part should check the Dawlish Dancers Facebook page to make sure that it hasn't been postponed owing to bad weather:

    https://www.facebook.com/dawlishdancers/

There will be three more flashmob dates, two for Dawlish and a further one for Teignmouth, so if you can’t make it this time there will be other opportunities.

  • Library Design Project

    Thu 21 Mar 2019

As part of our redesigning project of our school library, David Crosby (from Touch Design group) led a workshop with our Year 6 Mathematicians enrichment group to show how he would create scaled drawings and designs for clients and the steps involved from start to completion.

After looking at the precision and detail involved in creating these drawings, the group worked with David’s help to create a scaled drawing of the library with its complex shape of a scale of 1:20.
