Teacher Training Opportunities in South Devon and Torbay, starting September 2025

Are you interested in being part of a growing number of people training to become primary teachers in our area?

Westcliff Primary Academy is actively supporting people in South Devon and Torbay to get into teaching. Teacher recruitment is really important to us because one of the best ways of providing a high-quality education is to attract talented people into the profession.

Through our partnership with SWIFT Teacher Training, you can access high-quality, school-based training with more of the training experience based close to home, including the option of a placement at Westcliff and other local schools.

While many national headlines show teacher recruitment is down, we are beginning to make a difference. SWIFT Teacher Training has recruited 90 new teachers from South West this year who are starting their training in September 2024!

School Meal Price Increase

Dear Parents/Carers,

Please be advised that from Wednesday 4th September 2024 there will be a price increase to the cost of a school meal.

The current price is £2.50 for a meal and a dessert, this will increase to £2.60. The school has not implemented a price rise for the last 2 years but due to the continued pressure on the cost of wholesale food we cannot avoid this price increase any longer.
