At Westcliff Primary Academy we communicate and share information with you, our parent community using the My Ed app. We want you to feel as much a part of your children’s education as possible and with the increased use of smart phone technology we want to make best use of it.
My Ed is the free app for parents and carers that gives you a multitude of communication and information features to stay in touch with what is going on at school. The app gives you direct access to your child's attendance, absence records and much, much more. You will also see that we update and change the information in the app as the school year moves along.
We are able to send you messages directly from the My Ed app relating to important information about your child's education and to remind you of events that are taking place at school. You will receive a notification if we send you a message. Parents are also able to contact us via the app. and there is no charge for the messages you send this way.
The My Ed app allows us as a school to send all consent forms etc. electronically. Parents are then able to fill in the forms online and submit them directly back to us. This not only saves you as a parent time, but it also helps to cut down on our paper costs.
How to download My Ed
The My Ed app is available for both Apple iOS and Android devices and can be found on the App Store and Google Play Store
Once you have installed and opened My Ed, search for Westcliff Primary Academy and follow the simple instructions to identify yourself. The app will connect you with your child’s details the following working day.
My Ed Frequently Asked Questions
Q. I have downloaded the app but cannot select my child.
A. The app only allows the Priority 1 contact to select the student. Please contact the school office for any amendments or if you wish to have more than one Priority 1 contact i.e. Mum and dad
Q. I have more than 1 student at the school can I select them all.
A. Yes once downloaded you will be able to select all your children linked to you.
Q. Can I make payments via the app.
A. Payments still need to be made via ParentPay, however there is a link to the site built into the app.
We started using the app to communicate with parents from the 21st December 2018 and feedback has been positive.
