On Wednesday 31st January, the School Council and House Captains went on the long trip to London for a visit to The Houses of Parliament. After a very early start, we arrived into central London where we were able to see some of the famous sites.
After the necessary security checks, we entered the Houses of Parliament, taking in sights such as: The Great Hall, Big Ben and Central Lobby. We were extremely lucky to observe members of Parliament debating issues related to Brexit. The afternoon of our visit was spent taking part in workshops focused on democracy and the importance of everyone in the country having a voice.
We had a fantastic day, and the children were an absolute credit to our school.
