A few of the entries for the pumpkin 🎃 competition 2020
FOW (Friends of Westcliff) is the parent teacher association (PTA) for Westcliff Primary Academy.
FOW is run by the parents and members of staff to benefit all Westcliff pupils.
FOW organise and run events throughout the year to raise money in a fun and varied way.
FOW raises money through a variety of events and activities such as:
• Gift Sales and Annual Christmas Market
• Tuck Shops
• Discos for the children
• Sponsored Events
• kids own Christmas cards
Funds raised by FOW are intended to provide ‘extras’ not already provided by the school's main income – resources and events that make the school experience more interesting more exciting for the children.
Previous items bought by FOW have included playground equipment and structures, outdoor furniture, sports team kits, musical instruments, funding events such as the Christmas parties and the Year 6 leavers Party.
FOW is open to all and welcomes every parent/carer/friend of the school to join them to help raise funds for children at Westcliff Primary Academy. FOW doesn’t look for a big commitment. Support can range from just half an hour to a couple of hours to help with tasks for the FOW events. Come along to one of the meetings to find out more or ask at the school office.
Pumpkin carving competition 2019.
Cllr John Petherick had the unenviable task of judging the entries.
We had over 100 entries! Cllr Petherick was very impressed with the level of skill and the amount of entries. He had a very hard job judging.
